The ORCHESTRA of the AMERICAS, 19 July in Warsaw – remarkable, vivacious, full of expression!
The remarkable, vivacious, colourful ORCHESTRA of the AMERICAS will perform in the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra’s Concert Pavilion in Warsaw on a summer evening on Thursday, 19 July at 7:00 p.m. The Orchestra’s Artistic Advisor is Placido Domingo, while its artistic board consists of presidents of Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, the United States and Panama. The 100-member Orchestra is made up of musicians from 25 countries in North, Central and South America. During its European tour it will perform only one concert in Warsaw, in the heart of the Praga Południe district at 272 Grochowska Street. The Orchestra will play hits of Latin-American music by Carlos Chavez and Hector Villa-Lobos. The concert’s Polish accent will be Krzysztof Penderecki’s Three Pieces in Old Style and Johannes Brahms’ 1st Piano Concerto performed by Polish pianist Łukasz Krupiński, winner of the International Piano Competition in San Marino. The artist will play on a piano made by the legendary Steinway & Sons.
