Sinfonia Varsovia will play three times at the 21st Usedomer Music Festival, including a performance at the closing concert, conducted by Krzysztof Penderecki. The programme includes works by Górecki, Panufnik and Penderecki.
Sinfonia Varsovia’s concerts will take place on 9-11 October 2014 in three different locations on the island of Usedom: the Evangelist church in Wolgast, in the centre of culture in Świnoujście and in the old Power Plant – Museum in Peenemünde. The orchestra will be conducted by Arman Tigranyan, Rolf Beck and Krzysztof Penderecki. Among the soloists accompanying the orchestra are violinist Konstanty Andrzej Kulka playing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D major and Felix Klieser – a horn player born without arms, who has learned to play with his feet.
