The fifth edition of the Sinfonia Varsovia Academy is for viola players, cellists, double bassists, clarinettists and bassoonists – Polish students and graduates of music schools who have not reached 26 years of age.
Two semesters of workshops in the form of one-on-one and group classes will be led by leaders and soloists of Sinfonia Varsovia: Katarzyna Budnik-Gałązka and Grzegorz Stachurski (viola), Marcel Markowski and Piotr Mazurek (cello), Nicholas Franco and Michał Sobuś (double bass), Aleksander Romański (clarinet) and Zbigniew Płużek (bassoon).
As last year, the best participants will be invited to participate in concert and recording projects together with Sinfonia Varsovia. Outstanding participants take part in master classes run by world-class virtuoso musicians.
Auditions will be held on: 5 June 2016 (viola, cello, double bass) and 27 June 2016 (clarinet, bassoon).
An entry form will be made available soon, together with a list of works to play during auditions and regulations governing the project and auditions.
